Native of Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, I was born in the early 1940's in Chennai into the family of Satyavolu Papa Rao and Alamelu Meenakshi. I had pre-degree education in Govt. Model Secondary School and Govt Arts College in Rajahmundry. I graduated with Bachelor of Engineering Degree in early 60's from Andhra University College of Engineering at Visakhapatnam. After a 2-yr stint at Durgapore, West Bengal, worked in Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd., Vishakhapatnam for over 20 years, in Engineering and Purchase. Then moved to Chennai and worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia till late 90's. Presently working in Abu Dhabi, UAE as a consultant in the Materials Management area to the oil and gas industry. I am however, based out of Chennai, where we own our home.

Married to Seetha Nidamarti in mid 70's, we are proud parents of a son Ramakrishna (Schwark), a Mechanical Engineer turned Computer Engineer and a daughter Meenakshi an Architect / Construction Management executive. Meenakshi is married to Kaushik a Computer Engineer. All of them are top notchers in their fields and working in the USA.

A keen follower of Cricket though never got round to playing except practising with classmates in Engineering college. Enjoy listening to old musical hits from 40's to 60's.
